Anil Murthy: "The team showed character and desire to take the win once again"
Following Valencia CF's come-from-behind victory at the RCDE Stadium, club president Anil Murthy spoke to VCF Media Rdio to give his opinions on the Saturday afternoon performance and look ahead to the Champions League match against LOSC Lille.
"We came here to win. We had a bad first half, but the team were able to react after halftime and we achieved an important win. We are going through a spell in which we are finding it hard for things to work out, but the team showed character and desire to take the win once again," praised the VCF president.
"What we should take away is the fact that we reacted and that we claimed the win. Now we have to look ahead, because we have a key game against LOSC Lille coming up, which we need to win. We need to do that with everybody's support; this team deserve all of the support possible from Mestalla," he added.
"The important thing is for us to win games, and Mestalla is going to be pivotal for that. I hope that the fans are fully behind their team. It's going to be a great night on Tuesday, and I hope that we take the three points again and continue on this good path," concluded Murthy.
